Melton & Melton, one of Houston's largest independent accounting firms, is shifting its Houston headquarters to Westchase Park I, taking roughly 31,013 square feet at 3700 W. Sam Houston Parkway on a Class A campus that features an on-site amenity center and LEED-Gold certification.
Firm frames move as growth play
As reported by the Houston Business Journal, Melton & Melton linked the relocation to its continued growth and long-term commitment to the Houston market. The outlet notes the firm signed for about 31,013 square feet and that JLL broker Cody Little represented the tenant in the deal.
What the campus offers
In a press release via Stream Realty Partners, the property's managers highlighted freeway visibility, a connected amenities center and the LEED-Gold certification as key selling points. Managing partner Clint Bennett said the new space supports our continued growth and will provide a modern environment designed to enhance the experience for our people and our clients.
Owner and market context
The two-building Westchase Park campus was acquired last year by Fort Worth investment firm Canyon Creek Real Estate, which kept Stream in place to handle leasing, according to The Real Deal. The outlet also reports that the Westchase submarket has been dealing with elevated vacancy in recent quarters, so lease wins like Melton & Melton's are being watched as potential signs of stabilization.
A long-standing Houston practice
Melton & Melton traces its roots to the 1960s and lists more than 125 professionals on its website, placing it among the larger independent accounting firms in the metro, per Melton & Melton. The relocation brings a firm with long-standing Westchase ties into a newer Class A campus and could expand its client-facing space as the company continues to grow.
Timeline and what to watch
The announcement did not specify a move-in date. Stream and JLL are listed as the leasing and tenant-representation teams, respectively, according to Stream Realty Partners. Expect build-out, permitting and a phased occupation plan as the firm tailors the space for client work and staff functions, with more details likely to come from the tenant or the leasing teams.
