The Oak Creek Police Department has rolled out a new look for its squad cars, a move that is seen as a push towards rebranding and modernizing the force. The department announced their social media channels, showcasing the fresh squad design that's been introduced to the community.
"We’re excited to unveil our brand-new squad design!" proclaimed the department on its official Facebook page. "This fresh look represents our commitment to innovation, teamwork, and excellence." According to their post, squad 8 has already hit the streets sporting the new look earlier this week, with further changes to be rolled out gradually. "Our updated design reflects the strength and professionalism of our department while embracing a forward-thinking approach and connection to our community," while aiming to deepen the connection with the community it serves.
The current vehicle design, characterized by a black and white color scheme, has been in place since 2017, marking nearly a decade of that aesthetic on the streets of Oak Creek. The department also noted that their knight logo, a recognisable emblem of their squad cars, has been in circulation since roughly 2000. The post highlighted the department's intent to outfit several squads with the new design throughout this year, with the aim of a complete overhaul in the next two years as vehicles are due for replacement.
