Orlando police are turning to the public after releasing surveillance photos and video of three people they say were involved in a Feb. 4 home-invasion robbery along the 5000 block of Cinderlane Parkway. Officers were called around 6:40 p.m. for a report of threats involving a weapon, and detectives later interviewed witnesses at the scene. No one was physically hurt, which is about the only good news in the report.

The department posted the images on social media in hopes someone would recognize the trio. Anyone with information is urged to call Crimeline at 800-423-8477, where tips can be submitted anonymously and may qualify the caller for a reward.

According to ClickOrlando, the footage was uploaded to the Orlando Police Department’s Facebook page and shows three people walking along a sidewalk at about 6:32 p.m., just minutes before officers say they entered the residence. Investigators have not released any identities or a possible motive and say they are still combing through surveillance from nearby homes and businesses.

One Suspect Already Arrested

An arrest affidavit reviewed on Scribd states that 18-year-old Kamilo Antonio Marrero was arrested in connection with the Feb. 4 incident and charged with home-invasion robbery with a firearm. The document describes one person forcing their way into the apartment while others allegedly stood watch, and it lists the address as 5565 Cinderlane Parkway, apartment 285. Court records show Marrero was booked into the Orange County jail following his arrest.

How Police Are Asking for Help

Detectives are asking residents in the Cinderlane area and beyond to check doorbell cameras, security systems, and dashcams for anything that might help, including distinctive clothing, walking style, or vehicles seen around the time of the robbery. Tips can be submitted anonymously through Crimeline, and a reward of up to $1,000 is available, according to Orlando News.

Reporting by Orlando News also notes that the department shared walking footage of the three people specifically to widen the pool of potential witnesses. Police are essentially asking anyone who was in the area around that time to replay their cameras and see if the faces or outfits look familiar.

What’s Next

The affidavit lists home-invasion robbery with a firearm as the primary charge, an offense that can carry enhanced penalties under Florida law when a weapon is alleged to have been used, according to the document. Investigators say they are still working leads on additional suspects and are not publicly naming anyone else until they can confirm identities and consider possible charges, as reflected in the department’s Facebook post.

Anyone who recognizes the individuals shown in the Facebook video or who has potentially useful footage is urged to contact Crimeline at 800-423-8477. Tips can remain anonymous and may be eligible for the advertised reward.
