Bexar County deputies are searching for Richard Julian Garcia, who they say is wanted in connection with a violent domestic assault reported on Jan. 29. According to investigators, Garcia followed the victim to a relative’s home and, when she refused his plea for “another chance,” the situation allegedly turned violent. The woman reported injuries, and authorities say the incident report includes additional allegations they describe as too graphic to release publicly.
What deputies allege
As reported by Fox San Antonio, the victim told investigators Garcia slapped her and slammed her head against a wall when she tried to leave. Deputies say he then dragged her back inside the home and kicked her while she was on the floor.
The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office states Garcia is wanted on multiple felony charges, including aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, assault impeding breathing, continuous violence against the family, assault family violence with a previous conviction and unlawful restraint. According to deputies, the victim initially did not report the assault and only contacted law enforcement after Garcia allegedly showed up at a relative’s house looking for her.
Wanted description and how to help
Bexar County investigators describe Garcia as about 6 feet tall and roughly 200 pounds.
