Silver Lake is about to score a cozy new hangout. Amiguita, an intimate Afro-Latin restaurant from chef Alejandro Eusebio, is slated to open on March 11, 2026, bringing a Cibao-inspired menu to 3510 W Sunset Boulevard. The snug dining room will seat 34 guests and include a seven-seat bar for counter service, with the food leaning toward family-style, grill-driven dishes rooted in the Cibao region of the Dominican Republic.

Per Amiguita, the project is currently listed as “coming soon” and offers an email sign-up for opening announcements. The site is already pulling double duty as the hub for reservation details and press updates in the run-up to the March launch.

The chef behind the project, Alejandro Eusebio, has logged more than 25 years in Los Angeles kitchens and previously appeared on Season 5 of Top Chef, as reported by the Los Angeles Times. Eusebio has spent his career in neighborhood restaurants and describes Amiguita as his most personal project yet, a kind of love letter to the flavors he grew up with.

Menu and the Mibrasa Oven

The heart of the kitchen is a Mibrasa charcoal oven that will put a smoky stamp on Dominican-inspired plates. The team plans to open on March 11, 2026, at 3510 W Sunset Blvd, and early menu previews point to a tight but playful lineup: mibrasa vaca frita, yaniqueque stracciatella, plantain gnocchi, charcoal-grilled mussels and a yellowtail tiradito. The beverage program will lean on small-production wines, Caribbean beers and fermented cocktails, plus house-made ginger beer and morir soñando. Mara Herbkersman will serve as both general manager and beverage director, and the restaurant will seat 34 with a seven-seat bar while initially serving dinner Wednesday through Sunday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., as reported by WhatNow.

Space and Service

The compact dining room and bar are anchored by a mural from L.A. artist Lara Apponyi, designed to evoke the Cibao countryside and a relaxed, family-table atmosphere. Once dinner service finds its footing, the team plans to expand into brunch and additional daytime hours.

Reservations were not available at publication, so would-be regulars will need a little patience. Prospective diners can join the mailing list for the reservation release and soft-opening notices. Per Amiguita, email sign-ups will be used to announce the reservation link and any opening specials.
