Where To Vote And When
The Union County Board of Elections lists nine early voting locations across Monroe, Waxhaw, Indian Trail and Marshville, including the Union County Public Library Griffin Room and Fairview Town Hall, according to the Union County Board of Elections. Weekday hours at all sites run from 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., and voters also have two Saturday chances to cast ballots, on Feb. 21 and Feb. 28, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The in-person early voting period for the March primary runs from Feb. 12 through Feb. 28 statewide, and Election Day itself is Tuesday, March 3, as outlined by the North Carolina State Board of Elections. The state also provides online tools where voters can look up sample ballots and find county early voting site locators.
Registration, ID And How To Prepare
Union County notes that voters may register and cast a ballot at early voting sites by filling out a registration form and showing proof of residence. Acceptable documents include a North Carolina driver’s license, a student photo ID with a school document showing the address, or a utility bill, bank statement or payroll stub, according to the Union County Board of Elections.
