Scott's indictment, which took place on Monday, follows an October 2025 encounter where he's accused of barging into a home, breaking a bedroom door to reach his ex-romantic partner and another woman, allegedly assaulting and threatening one of them, as noted by the U.S. Attorney's Office, District of Columbia. Scott was furthermore charged with destruction of property and resisting arrest.
Notably, Michael Scott's criminal history includes two prior violent crime convictions, potentially intensifying the legal consequences he may face. According to the U.S. Attorney's Office, District of Columbia, this case falls under the jurisdiction of the Metropolitan Police Department, with Interim Chief Jeffery Carroll joining the announcement.
