The Ohio Division of Cannabis Control has issued a Class II recall after regulators found that a Modern Flower product did not meet state testing requirements, pulling a popular medical marijuana item from shelves in Columbus and Cincinnati while the state digs into what went wrong.
The recall targets Modern Flower Minis Flower White Truffle, a 5.66 gram packaged flower product that has been temporarily yanked from sale while officials complete their investigation.
State records list the affected batch as lot no. 1a4070300000ce5000006751 with product ID m00001262257, packaged on Oct. 30, 2025. The flower was cultivated by Harvest Grows, LLC and labeled at 5.66 grams. As reported by Cleveland.com, matching packages were sold at nine dispensaries, and the state says patients can bring those items back for a refund and proper disposal.
Sales On Hold, Returns Won't Count Against 90 Day Limit
The Division has ordered all sales of the affected lot paused while it finishes its review, and it has instructed licensees to accept returns and issue refunds. Officials also clarified that any returned product from this recall will not count toward a patient's 90 day possession limit, according to guidance from the Ohio Division of Cannabis Control.
Why It Was Pulled
Regulators say a sample of the Modern Flower Minis product ran afoul of testing rules because the amount submitted was smaller than the minimum size required for analysis under state protocols. The Division classified the recall as Class II, which indicates a "remote possibility of experiencing adverse health consequences," according to Cleveland.com.
What To Do If You Bought The Product
Customers who purchased Modern Flower Minis Flower White Truffle should check their packaging and return any matching products to the dispensary where they were bought, where they can receive a refund and ensure the product is properly destroyed.
If you experience any adverse health effects, contact your health care provider and follow the Division's recall instructions available from the Division of Cannabis Control.
For Ohio's maturing regulated cannabis market, this recall serves as another reminder that testing and packaging rules are not just fine print. Patients and customers are encouraged to pay attention to lot numbers and packaging details and to follow state recall notices while the Division wraps up its review.
