Conroe is about to get a whole lot saucier. Texas Crawfish Co. plans to open a brick-and-mortar spot by mid-March at 17506 FM 1314, shifting the Houston-area boil operation from trucks and wholesale work into a permanent storefront. On the menu: boiled crawfish, shrimp, snow crab legs, and the usual boil fixings like corn, potatoes, and sausage. The timing lines up neatly with the start of peak crawfish season, when pots bubble over, and parking lots tend to fill up fast.
According to Community Impact, the business is owned by Colton and Marina Goff and started in 2019 as Big Cab’s Crawfish before rebranding to Texas Crawfish Co. in 2024. Community Impact reports that the Goffs plan to serve boiled crawfish, shrimp, snow crab legs, corn, potatoes, sausage, and mushrooms at the new Conroe location. The outlet also notes the couple runs a wholesale seafood business in Louisiana and manages about 100 acres of crawfish farm land.
From truck to storefront
Texas Crawfish Co.'s website lists a Spring pickup location on Gosling Road, and its online ordering pages routinely show sellouts during the height of the season. A fixed address in Conroe gives the brand room to stretch out, with more capacity for retail sales and catering instead of operating strictly from trucks. The owners say they process crawfish in a custom warehouse before sending them out, a step they argue helps keep the product cleaner.
Crawfish season timing
March through May is usually the busiest stretch for crawfish fans across the Houston area, so a mid-March opening would put the Conroe shop on the front edge of the rush. Industry coverage suggests the 2026 season is shaping up well for Houston restaurants and vendors, Yahoo News notes, which could translate into strong early demand for newcomers like this FM 1314 boil house.
What to watch
The Goffs told Community Impact they source crawfish from multiple farms and docks, then wash and purge the catch before distribution. Texas Crawfish Co. lists a Facebook page for opening updates and ordering windows, so anyone hoping to lock in a sack ahead of time will want to keep an eye on the brand’s social channels as that mid-March launch window gets closer.
