What started as a neighborhood dispute in a Spring subdivision on Wednesday ended with a man in handcuffs and a handgun seized on the 22700 block of Timber Dust Circle, according to Harris County Precinct 4.
Constable Mark Herman’s office says an adult man walked up to a neighbor’s home in the Timber Dust Circle cul-de-sac, allegedly threatened to kill the neighbor and was holding a handgun at the time. A patrol deputy arrived quickly, confronted the man and detained him at the scene. No injuries were reported.
In a post on the constable’s official account, Harris County Constable Precinct 4 shared photos from the call and credited Deputy Brischetto with taking the suspect into custody. The office said it treats “threats involving weapons” as a serious matter and emphasized that deputies responded swiftly to secure the area.
How Texas Law Sees a Death Threat
Under Texas law, threatening to kill someone can fall under the offense of a terroristic threat in Texas Penal Code §22.07. The statute covers threats of violence made with the intent to place a person in fear of imminent serious bodily injury. Depending on the circumstances and aggravating factors, such as the presence of a firearm, the charge can range from a misdemeanor to a more serious offense.
Constable’s Office Pushes Fast Updates
Precinct 4 regularly uses social media and its “C4NOW” mobile app to push out real-time alerts on arrests, crime trends and traffic issues, part of an effort to show it is handling threats that involve weapons quickly. According to the Harris County Precinct 4 Constable's Office, residents can follow those channels for updates on incidents like the Timber Dust Circle arrest.
Officials did not immediately release the suspect’s name or specific charges in the public post. The constable’s office said the man was taken into custody by Deputy Brischetto and remains jailed while the investigation continues.
