D.Law, the fast-growing employment law firm led by Emil Davtyan, is shifting its headquarters into a newly completed, purpose-built building in Pasadena, pulling four Los Angeles County offices and roughly 130 staff under one roof. The consolidated campus is designed to mix heads-down client work with a slate of employee perks, marking a high-visibility milestone in the firm’s expansion across California.
In a press release via PR Newswire, the firm described the Pasadena headquarters as “recently completed” and customised for its team. Founder Emil Davtyan called the new office “the culmination of a decade’s worth of milestones for our firm,” according to the release. As reported by Pasadena Now, the firm highlighted amenities including kitchen and dining areas, a gym, a game room, an outdoor garden terrace and a rooftop deck.
Design Built For Collaboration
Architect Corsini Stark Architects' project page describes a continuous spiral staircase that pulls daylight from a skylight down through the centre of the building, connecting the basement to the roof terrace, and puts the project at about 37,000 square feet. The design also features a basement dining mezzanine, a locker-equipped gym, a game room and multiple outdoor gathering spaces that are meant to encourage informal meetings and staff events. Those choices track closely with the firm’s emphasis on culture and internal communication as operations are centralised.
Growth Fueled The Move
Rapid hiring and acquisitions helped push the decision to consolidate. The Los Angeles Business Journal ranked D.Law among the fastest-growing firms in the region and reported roughly a 1,233% jump in attorney headcount over three years. The firm’s own site and statements note acquisitions in 2023 and a network of satellite offices in about a dozen California cities, while reporting roughly 130 employees now on staff. Company leaders say bringing people together under one roof is meant to sharpen collaboration, recruiting and client service as D.Law chases its next phase of growth.
What To Watch
The firm has not yet gone public with a street address or move-in date for the Pasadena headquarters. Pasadena Now noted that those details were left out of the announcement. Neighbours and local watchers will likely be scanning for permit filings or a grand-opening notice to pin down timing and see how much the new office changes daytime foot traffic in the area.
