Police seek tips from the public
According to FOX6, the Milwaukee Police Department says the suspect threatened the victim with a weapon before running off. Another MPD notice lists a different time and place
As reported by TMJ4, a separate Milwaukee Police Department notice describes an armed robbery on March 27 that happened just before 2 p.m. in the 1300 block of W. Lincoln Ave. That alert includes a suspect description: a man about 25–30 years old, around 165 pounds, with facial hair, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black sweatpants. It states the suspect was armed with a handgun. Police have not yet clarified whether the two notices refer to the same incident.
Why tips matter
Milwaukee Police data show robbery continues to be a stubborn slice of the city’s violent crime. In MPD's 2025 Violent Crime Reduction Plan, officials report about 1,965 robberies in 2024, with clearance rates stuck in the mid-20 percent range. It is a reminder that many cases never get solved without community input.
Anyone who witnessed the incident, has video, or holds even a small piece of information is urged to contact Milwaukee police at 414-935-7360 or Crime Stoppers at 414-224-TIPS. Tips can also be submitted through the P3 Tips app, and investigators emphasize that even minor details could help move the case forward.
