Women’s March Madness is officially coming to downtown Sacramento. Golden 1 Center will host the women’s Sweet 16 and Elite Eight from March 27 to 30, 2026, with four straight days of high-stakes basketball and plenty of bracket drama.
The regional setup calls for back-to-back sessions on Friday and Saturday, followed by single-game Elite Eight showdowns on Sunday and Monday. Tickets and hospitality packages are being sold through the arena and major ticketing outlets, and by Friday morning some all-session packages were already only showing up on the resale market.
What, where and when
According to the Golden 1 Center, the regionals run March 27 to 30, 2026, at the downtown arena at 500 David J Stern Walk. The NCAA also lists Sacramento as one of two regional hosts for those dates, alongside Fort Worth.
Tickets, sessions and prices
Tickets are available through Ticketmaster and the venue. Ticketmaster’s listings show four sessions at Golden 1 Center: March 27 in the evening, March 28 in the afternoon, March 29 at noon and March 30 in the evening.
The Sacramento Bee reports that standard tickets were running from roughly 33 dollars to about 111 dollars, and that an all-sessions, four-day package was appearing only as a resale option on Friday morning.
Why it matters
Local tourism and arena officials are treating this as more than just a long weekend of hoops. Visit Sacramento and arena partners say the games provide a solid bump for downtown hotels and restaurants, bringing in fans who stick around between sessions to eat, drink and explore.
Mike Testa, president and CEO of Visit Sacramento, told the Sacramento Bee that hosting the regionals “bodes really well” for Sacramento’s chances of landing a future women’s Final Four.
Getting there
The Golden 1 Center is encouraging fans to arrive early, use SacRT light rail or pre-book parking options listed on the event page. That advice will matter even more as the bracket tightens and crowds grow.
Ticketmaster notes that tickets are mobile and transferable through its platform, so fans should confirm delivery method and account access before heading downtown, especially if purchasing through resale.
Matchups and the teams assigned to Sacramento will be determined by the tournament bracket, and ticket availability can shift as the field progresses. For now, anyone deciding between single-session tickets and resale all-session packages will want to keep a close eye on Ticketmaster and the Golden 1 Center event listing for the latest details.
