Officers were called just before 9:10 p.m. to the 300 block of South Franklin Street, where they found a male victim with a cut. He was taken to a nearby hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Arrest and charges
According to CBS17, Wake Forest police arrested Raleigh resident Timothy Ray Walker in connection with the stabbing. He is charged with “assault with a deadly weapon - inflicting serious injury with intent to kill.” The outlet reports that officers found the victim at the scene and took the suspect into custody shortly afterward. Information about Walker’s bail or arraignment was not immediately available.

The news release cited by CBS17 stated that “there is no danger to the public” and that investigators are still actively working the case.
