
Police flooded the 600 block of Shannondell Boulevard in Eagleville on Thursday night after multiple 911 callers reported gunfire near a hotel. Lower Providence Township officers say a dispute broke out, escalated and a gun was fired, but no one was hit. Authorities urged residents and visitors to steer clear of the area while investigators worked the scene.
According to NBC10 Philadelphia, officers were dispatched shortly before 8 p.m. on March 19 after Montgomery County dispatchers received reports of shots fired. Multiple units converged on the stretch of road near a hotel and nearby businesses as police secured the scene.
Lower Providence Township Police Chief Michael Jackson told NBC10 Philadelphia that a fight led to the shooting but that no one was struck when the firearm went off. Officials did not immediately release a suspect description or announce any arrests as the investigation continued.
