Monroe police say a reported armed robbery at a Tradd Circle home turned into a much bigger bust, ending with three arrests, a stockpile of drugs off the street, and three firearms seized.

Patrol officers responded to the residence Friday, then called in narcotics detectives, who obtained a search warrant and carried out the takedown. A few days later, the department laid out the haul on social media, sharing photos of the suspects, guns, and bagged narcotics on its Facebook page while outlining the charges. Police say the investigation is still active and are asking anyone with information to come forward.

According to a Facebook update from Monroe Police Department Lt. Morgan Malone, officers recovered more than 1,000 grams of mushrooms, over 3,000 grams of marijuana, more than 500 grams of methamphetamine, and about 66 grams of a schedule I substance commonly known as “molly,” along with three firearms. The department says those seizures followed the initial response to the Tradd Circle address and the subsequent execution of a search warrant.

In photos posted with the update, packaged drugs, scales, and firearms are laid out on a table as evidence, a visual inventory of what police say they pulled from the home.

Search Warrant Leads to Guns, Drugs, and Three Arrests

“We disrupted an alleged armed robbery attempt,” the Facebook post states, before laying out the charges that followed.

The Monroe Police Department identifies 27-year-old Marquise Daye as facing multiple counts that include trafficking in controlled substances and possession with intent to sell. The post says Magiq Wright was arrested on charges of maintaining a dwelling for the purpose of distributing controlled substances and possession with intent to sell marijuana.

According to the same account, Sherrod Nichols faces a slate of violent felonies, including armed robbery, breaking and entering, and several assault-related counts. Police say all three were taken into custody Friday and that investigators will turn the case materials over to prosecutors for formal charging decisions.

Police Ask Neighbors to Speak Up

The department used the social media post to nudge residents to speak out if they see or know about criminal activity in their area, saying tips could aid the ongoing investigation. Police did not include court records, bond information, or arraignment dates in the Facebook update.

Investigators say they will work with Union County prosecutors as they move toward formal charges based on the evidence that was collected. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the department through its public channels.

Charges Outlined as Case Heads to Prosecutors

According to the department’s account, Daye is facing counts that include trafficking a schedule I controlled substance, trafficking a schedule II controlled substance, and possession with intent to sell and deliver schedule I substances.

Wright was booked on maintaining a dwelling for the purpose of distributing controlled substances and possession with intent to sell marijuana, the post states.

The Facebook update lists Nichols as facing felony possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, felony breaking and entering, felony armed robbery, three counts of assault by pointing a gun, and two counts of simple assault. Prosecutors will review the evidence and file formal charges as the case moves through the court system.
