A 32-year-old Ocoee man is behind bars after state agents raided his home on March 12 and seized an electronic device that investigators say contained child sexual abuse material. He is facing state charges and is being held in Orange County on an immigration hold.

According to a Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) press release cited by the West Orange Times & Observer, the suspect is identified as 32-year-old Jhonatan Marcello Tulio. He was booked on two counts of possession of child sexual abuse material and one count of transmission of child sexual abuse material. The investigation began in November 2025 after the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children submitted an online tip that led agents to accounts allegedly used to upload and share illegal files, the outlet reported. FDLE Cybercrime Task Force agents and the FDLE Special Operations Team executed the March 12 search warrant and seized at least one electronic device, according to the report.

How the probe unfolded

FDLE’s recent press releases describe a broader pattern in which cybertips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children trigger multi-agency investigations that end with search warrants and forensic reviews of seized devices. The agency has pointed to similar operations across Central Florida in which online leads or account information are used to identify IP addresses and users suspected of sharing illegal material. FDLE says these efforts are part of a statewide initiative to find and arrest people who trade or distribute files depicting the sexual abuse of children.

What the charges mean

Under Florida law, possession and transmission of child sexual abuse material are felony offenses that can carry substantial penalties. In similar Central Florida cases, FDLE press releases note that prosecutions are often handled in coordination with the Attorney General’s Office of Statewide Prosecution or with local state attorneys when investigations cross multiple jurisdictions. The Attorney General’s Office has stated that individuals who share or trade such material will be pursued aggressively.

Public corporate filings list Tulio as an authorized person for a Florida company, according to the state Division of Corporations. Records from the Florida Division of Corporations show his name associated with a registered business. The West Orange Times & Observer reported that Tulio is a Brazilian native and that he remains jailed in Orange County on an immigration hold while officials determine next steps.

FDLE’s Office of Public Information is asking anyone with information related to this type of activity to contact law enforcement or submit a tip through the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children’s CyberTipline. In its public statements, FDLE notes that these cases typically remain active while prosecutors review digital forensic results and decide on formal charges.
