Another early-morning shooting in the city
The incident adds to a recent string of overnight shootings across the city. In a separate early-morning case, four men were wounded near D Street and Wyoming Avenue, as reported by KYW Newsradio, and detectives have been bouncing between multiple scenes as they work to determine motives. Those back-to-back incidents highlight how quickly gunfire can ripple through neighborhoods while most people are still asleep.
Police ask witnesses to call the tip line
Authorities are asking anyone with information about the shooting to contact the Philadelphia Police tip line at 215-686-TIPS (8477) or submit an online tip, according to the City of Philadelphia. Rewards may be available for tips that lead to arrests, and police said they plan to release additional details as the investigation moves forward.
