Delicious, a tasting-focused wine bar, has quietly opened inside the Morean Center for Clay in St. Petersburg's Warehouse Arts District. The intimate spot is all about side-by-side sampling, with 1.5-ounce “sips,” 3-ounce pours and full 6-ounce glasses so guests can compare wines without locking into a big pour. Co-owners Joy and Aleka Oswald have styled the room as an arts-forward lounge, pairing ceramics from in-house artists with rotating wine flights and a compact food menu. The bar began serving last week and is rolling out weekly programming that includes live music, open mic nights and drag shows.
As reported by St Pete Rising, Delicious took over the Morean storefront after Lolita’s Wine Market relocated back to its original 18th Street spot last summer. That coverage details the current wine list, which includes five whites, four reds, a rosé and a sparkling option, and notes that glasses typically run $8–$14, with bottles priced around $20–$40. St Pete Rising also reports that the bar is open Monday through Saturday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and offers staff-led tastings along with rotating curated flights.
How the tasting room works
According to Delicious's website, the venue describes itself as “An Interactive Taste Experience” and deliberately centers discovery rather than full-service dining. The site emphasizes the pour-and-sip structure and notes that, in addition to wine, the bar serves a short list of craft beers and zero-proof canned cocktails. Menu pages also highlight a concise handhelds selection designed to match the flights, along with an automatic 18% gratuity on sales.
Art, patio seating and programming
The Morean Arts Center presents the bar as a neighbor and beverage partner that extends the clay center’s public programming into the evening, with ceramic artwork spread throughout the lounge and an expansive outdoor patio in play. Morean Arts Center previously teased a “sneak peek” of Delicious during its WoodStack event last December, underscoring the collaboration between the institution and the new operator. That built-in connection gives the bar an immediately local feel and a ready-made audience from the Morean's classes and exhibits.
Weekly shows and where it fits
Event listings show Delicious already hosting recurring open-mic and music nights along with themed evenings such as jazz and Latin nights, and an Eventbrite listing confirms the venue's recurring open-mic schedule. The arrival of Delicious follows Lolita’s move back downtown and adds another after-hours option to the Warehouse Arts District’s growing lineup of arts-adjacent spots. For up-to-date menus and a current calendar, the bar's website and social feeds post nightly offerings and special events.
Visit Delicious for menus and event details, or check Morean event listings for collaborations and gallery-night programming. Whether you stop in for guided tastings or a patio night out, the new spot aims to tie the neighborhood’s art scene to a low-pressure way to explore wine.
