Ogo Kitchen, a fast-casual joint that pairs Korean barbecue with grab-and-go sushi, has opened inside Denver Union Station. The counter-service outfit is geared toward commuters, downtown workers and travelers with made-to-order bento boxes, kimbap and prepackaged nigiri set beneath the station’s vaulted Great Hall. The newcomer moves into the space longtime diners knew as Stoic & Genuine.
Where It Sits And How To Order
Ogo Kitchen lists its LoDo address as 1701 Wynkoop Street inside Union Station, along with ordering options on its website, which notes that fresh sushi can sell out and nudges guests to pre-order or sign up for rewards and text deals, according to Ogo Kitchen. The restaurant’s online ordering page includes a phone number for the Union Station counter and posts its hours. The menu is built around quick pickup and portable meals so travelers can grab their food and head straight for the train, office, or hotel.
How The Spot Came Together
Co-owners moved into the former Stoic & Genuine space after months of permitting, with the project shepherded by City Street Investors, which oversees retail leasing at Union Station, according to BusinessDen. Co-owner YeeLing Ng told the outlet the concept was built for a transient downtown crowd and that most customers are expected to take their food back to offices or apartments. Construction transformed the high-end seafood layout into a brighter counter-service setup of roughly 2,000 square feet, with some patio seating in the plans.
Menu And The Chef's Vision
Chef Jackie Cho, described by Mile High CRE as a Korean American chef with more than two decades of experience, created Ogo Kitchen to bring together the bold Korean barbecue flavors of her childhood and the sushi she has spent years perfecting. "I wanted to create a place where you can enjoy the bold Korean BBQ I learned from my mom," she said, according to Mile High CRE. The menu mixes fire-grilled bulgogi and spicy pork with a vegan bulgogi option, along with gourmet kimbap, grab-and-go sushi rolls and nigiri, and the team says it will offer catering for meetings and larger events.
Why It Matters For Downtown
Ogo’s arrival comes as Union Station keeps leaning into its role as downtown Denver’s transit hub and food destination following an $11 million refresh of the Great Hall completed in 2024, as reported by Axios Denver. The station sees heavy daily foot traffic, with more than 30,000 people passing through, according to Axios, so a quick and portable Korean BBQ and sushi option fits neatly into the rush of commuters and visitors.
Getting Ogo
Ogo Kitchen is listed as open every day and recommends pre-ordering its limited sushi online. The restaurant directs guests to its website for ordering and its OGo Rewards program, and the team plans to scale up catering as demand grows, according to Ogo Kitchen.
