White Castle is trimming its Las Vegas footprint this month, with two valley locations set to close while the rest of the local slider empire shifts into corporate hands.
The Casino Royale outpost on the Las Vegas Strip and the Henderson restaurant on Marks Street are expected to close "around the end of the month" as ownership transfers are completed, according to the Las Vegas Review‑Journal. Terrible Herbst, which had been the licensee operating five valley White Castles, offered the restaurants to White Castle, and the company chose to acquire three of those locations. Employees at the two closing stores will be offered positions with White Castle, the Review‑Journal reports.
"We've been really happy with our partnership," White Castle vice president Jamie Richardson told the Review‑Journal, as the chain prepares to shift operations and, in some cases, pause service briefly to complete the changeover.
Which locations will remain open
White Castle's local site lists the valley addresses that will remain open under company control, including the Strip restaurant at 3411 S Las Vegas Blvd, the Paradise Road location, the downtown Fremont Street spot and the travel‑center site in Jean. See White Castle's contact page for the full list of addresses and hours.
What this means for workers and late‑night fans
The move ends a long‑running licensing setup in the valley and reshuffles where locals and visitors can grab late‑night sliders. While two sites are closing, the Review‑Journal notes that workers at those restaurants will be offered employment with White Castle, which will operate the three retained locations going forward.
White Castle first planted its flag on the Strip in 2015 and added other valley locations over the last decade. Its local footprint has since become a steady draw for late‑night diners and visiting slider loyalists. Customers planning a visit should double‑check posted hours at the remaining locations, and workers at the affected stores should expect details on next steps from White Castle and Terrible Herbst as the transitions move ahead. Hoodline will update this story if the companies release further information.
