
An 18-year-old was wounded in an early Sunday morning shooting on the 4900 block of W. Capitol Drive, according to Milwaukee police. The teen was hospitalized with injuries that officers described as non-life-threatening, and taken to a local hospital for treatment. Officers searched the area for a suspect, but no arrests had been reported.
According to TMJ4, the Milwaukee Police Department confirmed the victim's age and condition. The outlet reported that officers were looking for an unknown suspect and had not made any arrests at the time the incident was made public.

Capitol Drive has seen multiple shootings this winter, including a Jan. 13 shooting that left a 16-year-old critically injured. Those incidents have fueled renewed calls from residents and community leaders for targeted safety efforts along the busy corridor.
