A man wanted for allegedly violating bond in a manslaughter and theft case is back behind bars after a multi-agency raid in Cibolo ended with his arrest and the recovery of a stolen vehicle, authorities said.
Deputies and officers served arrest warrants Thursday in the 300 block of Hinge Loop, where they also found the stolen vehicle. The suspect, identified as Aris Jamal Ransom-Powell, was taken into custody without incident, according to the sheriff’s office.
On April 3, 2026, the Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Office worked with the San Antonio Police Department to track down and arrest Ransom-Powell, KABB Fox29 reported. The sheriff’s office said its SWAT team handled the warrant service that led to the arrest and the recovery of the vehicle.
Raid, Recovery And Arrest
Guadalupe County deputies and SAPD officers converged on the Hinge Loop address, where they located the stolen vehicle tied to the case. The sheriff’s office described Ransom-Powell as having an extensive criminal history that includes weapons charges, manufacturing and delivery of narcotics, multiple thefts, failure to identify and prior bail jumping.
Officials did not immediately say whether any additional charges would be filed in connection with the recovered vehicle.
What A Motion To Revoke Bond Means
Authorities said Ransom-Powell had been sought on a motion to revoke bond in the underlying manslaughter and theft cases, a legal step prosecutors use when they claim a defendant has broken the rules of pretrial release.
Under Texas law, courts may revoke bond after finding a violation by a preponderance of the evidence, a lower standard than beyond a reasonable doubt. Decisions on Justia illustrate how appellate courts apply that rule. A judge’s finding that the bond conditions were violated can lead to re-arrest and a return to custody while the case moves forward.
Booking information and any upcoming court dates were not immediately available. Guadalupe County officials released the initial details to local media, and court records are expected to show the next steps as the bond revocation effort proceeds.
