A violent home invasion in East Charlotte has police asking the public to study a new set of surveillance photos and speak up if anything looks familiar.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg police have released images of three people investigators say forced their way into a home in the Hickory Grove neighborhood during a February 2025 break-in. According to police, the homeowners were assaulted and robbed of a large amount of cash, while a fourth person waited outside in a silver four-door sedan that sped away from the scene.
Detectives re-issued the images this week and renewed calls for help from the community. A cash reward is on the table for tips that lead to an arrest, as reported by Queen City News, which also shared the surveillance stills and brief suspect descriptions tied to the February incident.
What police released
According to CMPD's public affairs office, investigators pulled still frames and descriptions from surveillance video in hopes that someone will recognize the people involved. The department notes on its Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department newsroom that tips can be submitted anonymously through Charlotte Crime Stoppers or the P3 Tips mobile app, and that information from residents has helped crack cases across the city.
How to help
