Enumclaw's Thunder Dome is trading one car crowd for another. The industrial building at 1920 Garrett Street has been sold for $7.9 million, closing the chapter on a property that long hosted a private car collection and events. The 36,160-square-foot structure on roughly 1.2 acres is now slated for high-value vehicle storage, detailing and transport logistics under new ownership. Coldwell Banker Commercial handled the transaction for seller Thundering Mountain, LLC, with broker Brandon Thomas listed on the offering materials.
Deal and brokerage details
Brandon Thomas of Coldwell Banker Commercial closed the $7.9 million sale, as reported by ConnectCRE. The brokerage described the site as the Thunder Dome Car Museum Industrial Building and said its size, layout and light-industrial zoning made it a natural match for an exotic-car operator. According to ConnectCRE, the buyer is Cascadia Collection and DC Auto Transport, which plans to use the property for storage, detailing and transport logistics.
Public records confirm transfer
King County real-estate filings show the sale recorded on April 1, 2026, following a March 31, 2026 closing, with DC Auto Transport LLC listed as the buyer, according to the Daily Journal of Commerce. That entry lists the parcel (APN 236100-0040) and confirms the 36,160-square-foot building on a roughly 53,044-square-foot lot. The county record matches the brokerage's reported sale price and aligns with local offering materials.
Why the building works for an auto hub
Offering materials from Coldwell Banker Commercial list heavy onsite power, a building-wide sprinkler system, an interior vehicle wash bay, a catering prep kitchen, smart lighting and oversized bi-fold doors. The property also includes an automotive repair bay with car lifts and an air compressor. Together, those systems make the building essentially turnkey for detailing, storage and enclosed transport. Cascadia Collection co-founder Mike Wierzbicki told Yahoo Autos that the dealership aims to “service from daily drivers to exotic cars,” and owners have said enclosed transport and on-site detailing will be central offerings.
From museum to dealership
The building is best known locally as the Thunder Dome Car Museum, a private collection and occasional event space that drew car enthusiasts to downtown Enumclaw. Atlas Obscura documents the site's run as a museum and gathering spot, and that existing foothold in the car community could help the new dealership attract visitors for shows, detailing appointments and private viewings. The new operation keeps the car focus intact, shifting the use from exhibit and events to retail and logistics.
Showroom, inventory and operations
Cascadia Collection opened its showroom and transport operation at 1920 Garrett Street on April 2, 2026, and owners told reporters the building itself cost roughly $9 million while inventory plans could push the venture's total value toward $15 million, per Yahoo Autos. Federal carrier registration records list DC Auto Transport at the Garrett Street address, indicating the buyer has already set up transport operations at the site.
