Harbor Freight has quietly but firmly staked out new territory in Severna Park, opening its second Anne Arundel County store at Robinson Crossing along Ritchie Highway. The full-size tool retailer started serving customers on April 7 in a roughly 21,000-square-foot space, giving local DIYers and contractors a closer option than the chain's existing Glen Burnie location.
WMAR2 News reports that the store officially opened on April 7 in a more than 21,000-square-foot space at the shopping center. A landlord release and industry reporting place the signed lease at 21,202 square feet, according to CityBiz. WMAR2 News also notes that Harbor Freight already operates a store in Glen Burnie.
Lease Deal and Landlord Take
Continental Realty Corporation handled the deal that brought Harbor Freight to Robinson Crossing, CityBiz reports. "Harbor Freight brings a strong, value-driven retail offering to Robinson Crossing," Kristina O'Keefe, CRC's senior vice president of retail operations, said in a statement quoted by CityBiz.
Company Announcement and Local Jobs
Harbor Freight first tipped its hand about the Severna Park store back in February, listing the site as 466 Ritchie Highway and saying the location would open in "Spring 2026." In its newsroom release, the company said the new store is expected to generate roughly 25 to 30 local jobs and will stock its standard lineup of hand and power tools. Harbor Freight includes the store details in its announcement.
What Used to Be Here and Who Is Next Door
Robinson Crossing sits on the busy Ritchie Highway corridor, and the center's listing names ALDI, Dollar Tree, and Celebree Learning Center among its tenants. The 21,202-square-foot box that Harbor Freight now occupies previously housed a Food Lion, Patch reports. Patch also notes that the Severna Park and Glen Burnie Harbor Freight stores keep similar hours. Continental Realty Corporation maintains leasing information for the center.
The addition expands Harbor Freight's Maryland footprint, and WMAR2 News notes the chain now has 22 locations in the state. CRC's leasing team says the move is expected to support Robinson Crossing's long-term growth and help drive consistent traffic for neighboring retailers.
