
A quick stop at a West Side convenience store turned into a crime scene late Thursday when a man in his 20s was grazed by gunfire on El Paso Street, San Antonio police said.
Officers were called just before 10 p.m. to the 2100 block of El Paso Street, where they found the victim with a graze wound to his arm. Police said the injury did not appear to be life threatening. Detectives said the suspected shooter, described as a man in his 20s, ran from the scene on foot as officers arrived and has not yet been found.
According to KENS5, the gunfire erupted in front of a convenience store near the intersections of Guadalupe and South Zarzamora Street. Officers went door to door along the block, asking residents and nearby businesses for surveillance video and any details that might help them put a name to the shooter.
Police: Investigation Ongoing
San Antonio police told KENS5 that the shooting remains an active investigation and asked anyone who saw what happened, or who captured it on camera, to come forward. As of the latest report, no arrests had been announced, and investigators had not released additional information about the suspect or a possible motive.
