Two crime scenes just minutes apart turned a stretch of South Semoran Boulevard into a late-night mystery yesterday, as Orlando police shut down an apartment complex and part of the busy roadway. Neighbors at one location watched as someone was placed into an ambulance while a vehicle sat behind crime tape. By the end of the night, authorities still had not said who was hurt, how badly, or whether the two scenes were connected.
What Happened on the Ground
According to WESH, police cruisers and a crime-scene van crowded into the Royal Isles apartment complex, while about four minutes down South Semoran, one side of the road was blocked from Sanibel Street to La Costa Drive. Reporters spotted a red car behind crime-scene tape that was later towed away, with what appeared to be red evidence markers on the vehicle. Shoes and clothing were seen scattered on the ground nearby.
Where This Unfolded
Royal Isles is a garden-style apartment community just off South Semoran; county property records list the complex at 803 Don Quixote Avenue and show it owned by Royal Isles LLC. The community made headlines last November after a fire forced evacuations, according to a report on the fire forced evacuations.
Police Response and Next Steps
As of WESH's late-night update, Orlando police had not confirmed whether the two South Semoran scenes were linked, and the department had not released additional details, the outlet reported. Investigators stayed at one of the scenes while tow crews removed the vehicle, and traffic on the affected side of Semoran was restricted during the response.
Authorities have not yet offered a timeline for when more information will be released. We will update this post when police or public-safety agencies provide further details.
