
Officers were called to the 900 block of Quackenbos Street NW around 1:30 p.m. on Monday, April 13, after reports of an unconscious person. When they arrived, police found a 19-year-old Hispanic man hanging from a tree limb. DC Fire and EMS attempted lifesaving measures, but he was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators told reporters they see no signs of foul play and are treating the case as a suicide. The body was taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for an autopsy, and police say the family has been notified.
