Ticket registration is officially open for the 2027 PGA Championship at Fields Ranch East at PGA Frisco, the PGA of America’s new home base, marking the return of a men’s major to the Dallas-Fort Worth area after more than six decades. Organizers say the championship will turn Frisco into a national destination next spring and are already warning that demand will be fierce. The free, no-obligation ticket registry went live Monday, lining up thousands of fans ahead of the May on-sale.
As reported by The Dallas Morning News, the registry opened at 10 a.m. yesterday and will stay active through May 18. Those who sign up will get first crack at tickets starting May 20, when they are placed into groups and assigned specific purchase windows. All it takes to register is a name, email and mailing address, and it is limited to one entry per email address.
Where and when
The PGA of America lists Championship Week as May 17–23, 2027, with competitive rounds set for May 20–23 at Fields Ranch East at PGA Frisco, according to a PGA of America press release via PGA of America. Championship Director Jason Mengel called the early ticket response “a great reminder of the magnitude of the historic return” to North Texas. The week will also coincide with the 100th anniversary of Walter Hagen’s 1927 PGA victory in Dallas and will be the region’s first men’s major since Jack Nicklaus won the 1963 PGA Championship.
How the ticket registry works
The PGA is using a free, no-obligation online ticket registry that places fans into a first-come, first-served queue. Registrants receive a 24–36 hour purchase window when ticket inventory is released, according to the PGA Championship. One of the initial offerings, the Championship+ Grounds Ticket, includes grounds access plus a food-and-non-alcoholic beverage program that covers an entrée, a snack and one non-alcoholic drink per concession visit. Chase cardholders will also get an early purchase window through the Chase Early On Sale program.
Kids and military access
Each ticketed adult can bring up to two children ages 15 and under for free each day, with junior tickets available at the Admission and Will Call office, The Dallas Morning News reports. Eligible U.S. military members, including active duty, veterans, Reserve and National Guard, will be able to secure daily grounds tickets for themselves and one guest, subject to availability. Tournament organizers say more details for military access will be released this fall.
Hospitality and what to expect in Frisco
The PGA of America reports that corporate hospitality inventory moved quickly, with only a limited number of chalets, suites and reserved tables still on the board, and it is urging buyers to confirm they are purchasing official packages in a PGA press release. Organizers expect more than 200,000 people to pass through during Championship Week, a surge that will test parking, traffic and local services, according to reporting by WFAA. Frisco’s Omni PGA Frisco Resort, surrounding hotels and the PGA District are already gearing up staffing and logistics for the crush of visitors.
Registration is free and open now, and fans who want the best shot at early ticket inventory are being urged to complete the registry through the official PGA Championship ticket pages before the May 18 registration deadline. Purchase windows and final ticket pricing will be sent by email to registrants and posted on the championship’s official ticket pages as the May 20 on-sale date approaches.
