Dumplin', the cozy West Highland dumpling spot from the Bonanno restaurant group, is on its way out as the owners pivot their attention downtown to a bigger Larimer Square project. The move marks another reshuffle in Frank and Jacqueline Bonanno's local restaurant lineup and shifts the team from a tight walk-in setup to a full-scale downtown dining room.
According to the Denver Business Journal, the Bonannos plan to close Dumplin' at 3609 West 32nd Avenue as they prepare to open a larger restaurant called Romyo in Larimer Square. The outlet reports that Romyo will join the group's existing Larimer Square spot, Osteria Marco, and move into a downtown space intended for a broader menu and expanded service.
Dumplin' debuted in November 2024 as an Italian Asian mashup from Frank and Jacqueline Bonanno, serving house-made dumplings, cacio e pepe ramen and other plays on the chef's earlier dishes, per Westword. The Bonanno Concepts website still lists Dumplin' at 3609 West 32nd Avenue and shows current hours, keeping the restaurant in the official roster. Bonanno Concepts also maintains Dumplin's formal listing and menu details.
Bonanno's downtown pivot
Osteria Marco, the Bonannos' Larimer Square restaurant at 1453 Larimer Street, sits on the same block Romyo is expected to join, according to Osteria Marco. The Denver Business Journal places Romyo in that Larimer Square stretch and notes earlier changes in the Bonanno portfolio, including two Larimer Square closures in 2022.
What diners should expect
Public details about Romyo's full menu and exact opening date are still sparse. For now, Bonanno Concepts' official channels and Dumplin's online listing remain the key places to watch for a concrete timeline and any last service announcements. Coverage will be updated once the Bonannos share a confirmed schedule or announce Dumplin's final day.
