Fresh off a multimillion-dollar renovation, the former Marriott Westlake has reopened as The Ricardo Marriott, bringing new dining options, refreshed guest rooms and a reworked pool scene to Solana Plaza in Westlake. The 293-room spot near Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport is repositioning itself as a design-forward choice for corporate groups, weddings and out-of-town visitors, leaning into the legacy of original architect Ricardo Legorreta while updating interiors and public spaces for modern travelers.
Management and ownership behind the reboot
The 293-room property, formerly the Marriott Westlake, has officially relaunched under the new name The Ricardo Marriott after its renovation, according to CultureMap Dallas. Dallas-based Coury Hospitality led the overhaul on behalf of owners NewcrestImage and Dabu Group, which acquired the hotel in 2023, industry outlet HotelBusiness reports. In a statement to CultureMap Dallas, Coury Hospitality president Andrew Casperson called The Ricardo Marriott “an exciting new chapter for this property.”
New restaurants and social spaces
The relaunch leans heavily on food and drink. The hotel’s lineup includes House of Toro Chophouse & Patio as the signature steakhouse, Black Pearl Lounge for cocktails and tableside caviar, Solana Kitchen & Lounge for all-day service and Café31 for Lavazza coffee and grab-and-go items, according to the hotel’s dining pages on Marriott. The mix is designed to pull in both overnight guests and neighborhood diners, giving the property a more restaurant-forward identity. Menus, hours and reservations are available through the hotel’s site.
Event space, pool and where it fits in D-FW
Launch materials and trade coverage highlight roughly 17 event rooms and about 15,000 square feet of flexible meeting space, figures that owners say will help the hotel land conferences, weddings and corporate retreats, per HotelBusiness. The reboot also includes a refreshed pool and upgraded outdoor terraces that are being marketed for receptions and leisure stays. Altogether, the changes are intended to keep the property competitive with nearby lifestyle hotels and meeting-focused properties in Southlake and other D-FW hubs.
Practical details
The Ricardo Marriott sits at 1301 Solana Boulevard, Building 3, in Westlake and is now accepting reservations. The hotel’s official site on Marriott lists booking options and contact information. The property is a short drive from Southlake Town Square and nearby corporate campuses, a location that owners hope will support both group business and weekend visitor traffic.
