Winter Garden’s newest senior-living neighbor is officially open for business. Mission Grove at Stoneybrook has begun welcoming residents to its three-story, full-continuum campus on the west side of town, offering independent living, assisted living, and memory-care options under one roof. The community will celebrate its official grand opening on Tuesday, May 12, and developers say the layout is designed to let seniors age in place while staying close to family, shopping, and medical services.

According to the West Orange Times & Observer, the roughly 173,000-square-foot property at 12911 Stoneybrook West Parkway represents about a $65 million investment by Traditions Management. The campus includes 101 independent-living apartments, 32 assisted-living units, and 33 memory-care suites. Executive Director Amanda Waterstradt told the paper the community was built "from the ground up" to be "a welcoming, loving home" for residents and their families.

Amenities and floor plans

Developer Leo Brown Group lists 166 residences in total, broken down into 101 independent-living units, 32 assisted-living apartments, and 33 memory-care studios across the three-story building. The amenity lineup reads like a resort brochure, with an art studio, zero-entry pool, putting green, pickleball courts, salon, pub and bistro, library, and multiple community rooms, according to the community’s website. Leo Brown Group also notes that the campus sits on about 10.75 acres next to Winter Garden Village and AdventHealth Winter Garden Hospital, giving residents quick access to medical care and retail.

Construction and operations

General contractor NEI General Contracting announced the project’s completion in a March 19, release, saying its Southeast team partnered with Leo Brown Group to deliver the community. Day-to-day operations will be handled by Traditions Management, which includes Mission Grove among its managed communities and highlights its experience overseeing pre-openings and transitions.

Grand opening and visitor information

Mission Grove is planning a public grand opening from 2 to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, May 12, according to the West Orange Times & Observer. Families and prospective residents can find tour dates and contact details on the community’s website.

Leo Brown Group says the project is a response to growing senior-housing demand in Central Florida. "Mission Grove reflects our long-term approach to developing best-in-class senior living communities in strong, supply-constrained markets," Leo Brown Group President Mike Wagner said in a company announcement.
