Alamo Heights is about to get a lot more blended. JuiceLand is opening its first San Antonio shop this Thursday in the Treehouse Shopping Center on Broadway, bringing the Austin-born chain’s lineup of plant-forward smoothies, cold-pressed juices and açaí bowls to the neighborhood after years of social media teasing and slow-but-steady Texas expansion.
According to CultureMap San Antonio, a company email confirms JuiceLand will debut this Thursday, May 13, at the Treehouse Shopping Center on Broadway, where it will be the chain’s 60th shop in Texas and sit near Tecovas inside the compact retail strip.
Project paperwork filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation lists the job as "JuiceLand ALA" at 5300 Broadway. The documents describe an interior renovation of roughly 1,150 square feet, with work scheduled to start February 15 and wrap by June 15 at an estimated cost of $200,000. The filing outlines a quick-service takeout build-out and identifies the tenant for the space.
Where To Find It On Broadway
The project filing and early coverage put the location at 5300 Broadway, a spot that lands the shop in the Treehouse Shopping Center, as noted by the San Antonio Express-News. The center is a small retail strip already home to a mix of regional and national tenants and it sits near Tecovas along the Broadway corridor.
Menu And The Brand
JuiceLand’s own location directory lists an Alamo Heights entry at 5320 Broadway, currently tagged as "Coming Soon," according to JuiceLand. The menu leans hard into plant-forward options, with smoothies built on nondairy almond milk, a roster of cold-pressed juices, açaí bowls, superfood lattes and plant-based wraps and salads. Founder Matt Shook traces the concept back to a summer job at a local juice spot in Austin, a bit of brand lore detailed by MySA.
Why The Alamo Heights Pick Matters
As reported by CultureMap San Antonio, the Alamo Heights shop will be JuiceLand’s 60th Texas location, arriving on the heels of a run of openings that have sometimes taken place inside H‑E‑B stores in other markets. If the Broadway storefront connects with neighborhood shoppers, it could help set the pace for additional San Antonio locations in the months ahead.
For now, the chain’s official location list is the place to watch for exact hours and opening-day details. JuiceLand’s All Locations page will be updated with first-day hours once the Alamo Heights team locks in its schedule. Check the listing at JuiceLand for the latest updates.
