Frisco motorists just scored a new one-stop pit lane for gas, tacos, and beer. TXB (Texas Born), the Texas-based “restaurant-style” convenience chain, has opened its first Dallas–Fort Worth store on Preston Road, and company officials say it is the largest location in the chain so far.
The new market pairs a 16-pump fuel island with a full kitchen, turning out made-to-order tacos, quesadillas, and hand-breaded chicken, plus a walk-in beer cooler and an on-site Subway. TXB bills the concept as “foodvenience,” a food-forward twist on the usual grab-and-go stop.
“We’re thrilled to be a part of the Frisco community,” CEO Kevin Smartt said in a release, noting the site’s proximity to The Star, the PGA Frisco complex, and an upcoming theme-park development, according to CultureMap Dallas. That outlet also reports the Frisco market opened as the chain’s 54th location and showcases the large-format store with its 16-pump station, Subway tenant, and expanded food and drink lineup.
What’s Inside the Preston Road Market
Local reporting and a site visit note that the Frisco store, listed at 15355 Preston Road, opened to the public on March 31 and sits on the northwest corner of PGA Parkway and Preston Road, according to Community Impact. That coverage cites a Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation filing that pegged the project’s construction cost at roughly $7 million.
Inside, the layout is built for both speed and lingering. Shoppers can dart in for quick pickups and grab-and-go meals or hang around a bit longer over coffee or beer while traffic crawls along Preston outside.
Loyalty, Private Label and Community Giving
TXB’s own website highlights a growing line of private-label products, including jerky, bottled water, and coffee, and emphasizes fresh, made-in-store food as a key differentiator for the brand. The chain has also been upgrading its rewards program to feature stackable fuel discounts and a “Chug Club” beverage subscription, according to industry coverage from C-Store Dive.
On the community side, TXB runs an annual fishing and golf tournament, which this year was held from yesterday through today at Tanglewood Resort in Pottsboro to raise money for CASA, the child-advocacy nonprofit, as reported by NACS.
Founded in Spicewood outside Austin and born from a Kwik Chek rebrand, TXB has been expanding across Texas and neighboring states. Recent coverage identified the Frisco opening as the chain’s 54th location, while the company’s own site notes dozens of stores statewide. For Frisco drivers and shoppers, the new Preston Road market adds a food-heavy, full-service convenience option to a corridor already buzzing with sports, entertainment, and now a lot more snacks.
