Gunfire tore through a Milwaukee neighborhood Wednesday night, wounding two young adults near 21st Street and Concordia Avenue on the city’s northwest side, according to police.
The victims, a 19-year-old and a 21-year-old, were taken to a hospital for treatment. Police said no arrests had been made as detectives worked to track down anyone involved.
What Police Say
According to the Milwaukee Police Department, as reported by FOX6 News Milwaukee, the shooting happened around 9:37 p.m. near 21st and Concordia and left both victims with gunshot injuries.
Investigators were canvassing the area late into the night, looking for witnesses, surveillance video and any leads that might explain how yet another shooting unfolded on this stretch of the northwest side.
A Troubled Corner
The intersection of 21st and Concordia has seen more than its share of police tape and flashing lights in recent years. Hoodline previously reported on a December 2024 shooting that sent a teenager to the hospital, an incident that again put the corner on the radar of worried residents.
Neighbors and local leaders have said the corridor has been a persistent focus of police attention, even as citywide efforts to curb gun violence continue.
How To Help
Milwaukee police are asking anyone with information, including home or business video from the area, to step forward. Tipsters can call 414-935-7360 or Crime Stoppers at 414-224-TIPS, contact information that the department provided to FOX6 News Milwaukee.
Anonymous tips can also be submitted through the P3 Tips app as investigators continue their probe. Police have not released information about a possible motive or any suspects and are urging anyone who knows something to contact MPD.
