
Gunfire erupted Thursday night in Cleveland’s Union-Miles neighborhood, leaving four people wounded on the city’s East Side along a busy stretch of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive directly across from John Adams College & Career Academy.
The shooting was reported around 8:15 p.m. in the 3800 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. Emergency crews took three victims to University Hospital with what officials described as minor gunshot wounds to their lower extremities, while a fourth person was treated at the scene.
According to 19 News, the victims transported to the hospital were a 44-year-old woman, a 25-year-old man, and a 24-year-old man. A 51-year-old woman was treated by medics on-site, the station reports, and 19 News says it has reached out to Cleveland police for additional details on what led up to the shooting.
Shooting Occurred Across From John Adams High
The gunfire broke out directly opposite John Adams College & Career Academy at 3817 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. That address matches the campus location listed by the Cleveland Metropolitan School District, underscoring just how close the incident was to the neighborhood high school.
Police Ask For Tips
