Downtown Las Vegas is starting summer loud. Country star Lee Brice is set to kick off the free Downtown Rocks summer concert series this Friday, May 15, with a 7 p.m. set on the 3rd Street Stage at the Fremont Street Experience. The long-running, all-ages series is back with national and local acts spread across multiple stages. Opening night will also showcase rising singer-songwriter Austin Williams and pop-country artist Grace Tyler.
According to Fremont Street Experience, the May 15 show starts at 7 p.m. on the 3rd Street Stage and is presented by the Academy of Country Music and 95.5 The Bull. The Downtown Rocks series is free and open to all ages, and organizers say it will run through October, taking over all three stages along the promenade throughout the season.
The timing is no accident. Opening night lands right in the middle of ACM Awards week, with the 61st Academy of Country Music Awards scheduled for Sunday, May 17, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, as reported by AP News. The concert helps anchor a packed weekend of ACM-related events around town.
Local station News 3 Las Vegas reports that Austin Williams and Grace Tyler will open the May 15 show, and notes that ARC Las Vegas sat down with Brice ahead of the performance. The station’s feature includes a video interview where Brice talks about playing downtown and plugging into the Fremont Street energy.
Lineup and stages
The 2026 Downtown Rocks roster mixes country, rock and alternative acts across the 1st and 3rd Street stages, with a couple of big October dates capping the run. Schedule roundups list Crossfade and Trapt on May 30, Fuel on June 13, Finger Eleven on June 27 and Sleeping With Sirens in July, with more artists rolling in through the fall. Plan your night
Downtown Rocks is first come, first served, with no wristbands and no cover charge, so showing up early is strongly encouraged if you want a good spot. Fremont Street Experience also highlights pregame programming at Golden Gate’s “The Rock Starts Here” from 6 to 7 p.m., parking at the Fremont Street garage and stepped-up bag checks on concert nights. Visitors should be ready for metal detectors and restrictions on what can be brought into the concert area; the official site breaks down parking options and security policies.
Organizers say the series is aimed at pulling both locals and visitors back to the heart of downtown. Cliff Atkinson, president and CEO, said the shows “draw thousands” on a typical night in the organization’s press statement, per the release. For last-minute lineup tweaks, weather adjustments or other changes, fans are advised to check the Fremont Street Experience website and the event’s social channels before heading out.
