Coroner's update
Local television coverage republished by AOL reported that the coroner does not plan to perform an autopsy and that standard toxicology testing will be completed, according to WBRE/WYOU. The Montour County Coroner's Office, led by Scott Lynn, is responsible for determining the cause and manner of death in such cases, a role outlined on the county's website, which also provides public contact information for the office.
Route 15 safety record
Route 15 has had a rough run this spring. In March, a head-on crash temporarily shut down part of the busy highway, according to WQKX. The recent string of serious wrecks has kept the spotlight on safety along the well-traveled north-south corridor that ties together several central Pennsylvania communities.
Authorities are still reviewing the circumstances of the April 28 collision. The coroner's office is awaiting toxicology results before closing out its findings, according to WBRE/WYOU. County officials have not yet released further information about the other vehicle involved, at least in early public reports.
