
A Sunday evening in Seattle's Madison Park neighborhood turned into a homicide investigation after police found a man dead in a parking lot with clear signs of trauma, authorities said. Officers discovered the victim in a lot in the 4000 block of East Madison Street, a short walk from Lake Washington, and Seattle Fire pronounced him dead at the scene. Homicide detectives are now leading the case.
What Police Say So Far
According to the Seattle Police Department, patrol officers responded just after 5 p.m. to reports of a person down in a parking lot and arrived to find the man with what they described as "obvious signs of trauma." The Homicide and Crime Scene Investigation units processed the area, while the King County Medical Examiner took custody of the body to confirm the man’s identity and determine the cause and manner of death. Police say there is no suspect description available at this time.

The scene was in the 4000 block of East Madison Street, along the neighborhood’s lakeside commercial strip, where officers taped off the lot while investigators worked.
