Overnight gunfire across Milwaukee left four people wounded Saturday, with victims ranging from a teenager to a man in his 50s as police hustled from one shooting scene to the next. The incidents were scattered across the city and stretched from early morning into late night, authorities said.
According to FOX6 Milwaukee, the Milwaukee Police Department said the first reported shooting happened around 4:18 a.m. at 34th Street and Mt. Vernon Avenue, where a 31-year-old was shot and taken to a local hospital. A 54-year-old was shot about 9:10 p.m. near 53rd Street and Clarke Street, and a 17-year-old was shot just before 10 p.m. near 18th Street and Highland Avenue, police said. Later, at about 11:39 p.m., a 19-year-old arrived at a hospital with gunshot injuries; the location of that shooting was not immediately known.
Two of the incidents, near 53rd and Clarke and 18th and Highland, unfolded within roughly an hour of each other, and police told WISN that both victims are expected to survive. Officers have made no arrests in those cases so far, authorities said.
Police Seek Tips And Video
Milwaukee police said they are searching for whoever pulled the triggers and are asking the public to help fill in the gaps. Anyone with information is urged to call MPD at 414-935-7360 or submit anonymous tips to Crime Stoppers at 414-224-TIPS or through the P3 Tips app, according to WISN. Detectives also want residents to check doorbell, dashcam and cellphone video for anything that might help identify suspects.
Where This Fits In A Violent Spring
The latest shootings land in the middle of a complicated picture for gun violence in Milwaukee. Data from the Milwaukee Police Department's year-end review shows non-fatal shootings fell from 639 in 2024 to 515 in 2025 even as homicides ticked up, per the MPD. Hoodline has recently reported other deadly cases in the city this month, including a May recording-studio homicide that led to arrests.
What To Watch
Investigations into all four shootings remain active, and police said they will release more details as they are able, according to FOX6 Milwaukee. For now, detectives are counting on community tips and any available video to help piece together how a spring Saturday in Milwaukee turned into another long, violent night.
