Red Robin is finally headed to the Saginaw area, marking the chain's first location in Saginaw County and breathing new life into a familiar building. The casual-dining brand is taking over the former Logan’s Roadhouse at 2697 Tittabawassee Road in Saginaw Township, after Ansara Restaurant Group purchased the property. Township officials say the restaurant is expected to open by the end of the year, bringing a national sit-down chain back to the busy Tittabawassee Road strip where Logan’s Roadhouse closed in August 2025.
Deal, Renovations and Timeline
Saginaw Township officials told local reporters that Ansara plans to renovate both the interior and exterior of the former Logan’s building, repair sidewalks, and skip major structural changes, as reported by MLive. Brian Cooke, a township official, told the outlet that Ansara is "excited to bring another Red Robin" and expects the location to be up and running by year’s end.
Who’s Behind the Franchise
Ansara Restaurant Group, based in Farmington Hills, operates numerous Red Robin franchises across Michigan and northwest Ohio, according to the Ansara Restaurant Group website. The Saginaw Township restaurant will join that regional network, adding another outpost to the franchisee’s existing cluster of Red Robin locations.
Red Robin’s Footprint and the Site’s History
According to Red Robin's investor site, the brand operates more than 475 restaurants across the United States and Canada and lists 19 franchised restaurants in Michigan, so the Saginaw Township spot will slide into an already established state presence. Local business listings show the Logan’s Roadhouse site has been closed since last summer, and nearby landowner Ray Hausbeck said he "hated to see Logan's not make it but is excited for Red Robin," per MLive.
What to Expect Next
Ansara’s planned work is expected to center on cosmetic and interior updates rather than a full rebuild, so permitting and site repairs, including sidewalk work, are set to come before interior construction. The company has not yet released a hiring timeline or any menu details specific to the new restaurant, and township officials say they will share updates as permits are issued and construction moves ahead.
