Bristol Republic, the Short North barbecue-and-live-music staple, is slated to debut a larger, multilevel home in Dublin's Bridge Park in June 2026. The new spot at 4495 Bridge Park Avenue will pair Bristol's slow-smoked barbecue and live shows with an elevated cocktail lounge called The Saddle Club, all within roughly 6,500 square feet of space.
The timing and dual-concept plan were first reported by Columbus Business First, which noted that the announcement was coordinated with Bridge Park partners. Bristol's own site and public listings now point to a spring-to-summer opening window as the team finishes the buildout. Management has said the extra room will support an expanded kitchen, private events and a larger whiskey program.
Two Concepts Under One Roof
As detailed by the Dublin Chamber, the Bridge Park location will operate as two distinct experiences: Bristol Republic for barbecue and live music, and The Saddle Club as an elevated cocktail and whiskey lounge. “We’re taking everything that’s made Bristol what it is - great food, live music, and a welcoming atmosphere - and building on it,” owner Brian Swanson said in the announcement. The Saddle Club is set to host live jazz Wednesday through Saturday and DJs on weekend nights, while Bristol continues to serve its signature smoked brisket, Texas-style ribs and Southern brunch staples.
The Space And The Spot
The restaurant will occupy the ground-floor retail space at 4495 Bridge Park Avenue inside the mixed-use campus, a configuration that Bridge Park leasing materials list at roughly 6,500 square feet of multilevel space. The site sits within a block anchored by hotels and riverfront walkways, providing both pedestrian traffic and parking options, according to Bridge Park. That positioning has Bristol lined up as a likely nightlife and live-music anchor for downtown Dublin.
Short North Roots, New Neighbors
Bristol Republic is relocating from its Short North address at 1124 N. High Street, where it earned a following for barbecue, bourbon and loud live shows. The former Short North space is now home to Black Sheep Kitchen & Spirits, which opened in mid-2025, according to reporting by Columbus Underground. The move fits a broader pattern of restaurateurs seeking larger, more walkable settings as suburban hubs like Bridge Park build out their dining scenes.
Permits And Timing
City records show a D-5J liquor-permit notice for "Bristol BridgePark, LLC" at 4495 Bridge Park Avenue, a standard step ahead of opening, according to a City of Dublin council action summary. That filing, combined with the April announcement and the restaurant's updated site, lines up with the planned June opening window. City and restaurant representatives have not yet provided a specific grand-opening date or ticketing details.
The June arrival is the latest in a busy run of dining and nightlife debuts at Bridge Park, which has been steadily adding restaurants and weekend programming as the development grows. Local outlets have already flagged Bristol's expanded lineup and the new lounge as moves that could shift more weekend traffic into Dublin's downtown, per 614NOW. Expect show schedules and reservation details to roll out in the weeks ahead as construction wraps.
