A person of interest was caught after the chase and also hospitalized for injuries, police say, which were sustained during the pursuit, while the officer was treated for a minor hand injury.

According to WMAR‑2 News, officers responded to the 2000 block of North Bentalou Street at 3:59 p.m. Police told the station that the 19‑year‑old victim was taken to a hospital by family members and treated for non‑life‑threatening gunshot wounds to his arm. A person of interest was taken into custody after a foot pursuit. The report states that the injured officer received treatment for a minor hand injury, and the person of interest was transported to an area hospital for wounds sustained during the chase.
