Whitehall just picked up a fresh option for game-day eats. Touchdown Wings quietly opened its first Central Ohio restaurant on Wednesday, setting up shop on East Broad Street and diving straight into Columbus's already crowded wing scene.
According to Columbus Business First, the new Whitehall restaurant is the brand's first location in the region. The publication reports that an experienced Columbus restaurant operator is behind the franchise and sees an opening in the market for a fast-casual chicken wing concept geared toward carryout and delivery.
Where It Sits
The Whitehall spot is listed at 4356 E. Broad St., according to local restaurant listings. The shop also shows up on major delivery and ordering apps for nearby east-side neighborhoods, per DoorDash, positioning it for quick carryout runs and late calls when the game goes into overtime.
What They Serve
Touchdown Wings sticks to the basics that built its brand: sauced and seasoned wings, along with sandwiches, tenders and combo plates. That lineup mirrors what appears on the chain's broader menu, as seen via Menuweb, and on an example Atlanta location, Touchdown Wings Howell Mill. The Whitehall franchise is expected to follow the same playbook.
Where It Fits in Columbus
The Whitehall launch comes as other wing chains are already jockeying for position in Columbus. Local reports note that Wingstop has been converting former GameStop stores into carryout-focused wing shops, moves that have been tracked in recent coverage. Touchdown Wings had signaled plans to enter the market earlier this year when it eyed a Macon Road site, according to Columbus CEO.
Columbus Business First reports the local franchisee plans to monitor demand before committing to any additional Central Ohio locations. For now, the Whitehall restaurant serves as Touchdown Wings' test drive in the region, with game-day orders and delivery traffic likely to call the plays.
