After months of quiet investigative work, Bellevue police this week arrested a 30-year-old man in connection with the October 2025 death of a 27-year-old woman who was found inside a home on the 13700 block of Northeast 10th Street. He was booked into the King County Jail and is being held on $5 million bail. The arrest follows a months-long probe that the King County Medical Examiner later classified as a homicide.
Police Detail Arrest
In a post on the Bellevue Police Department’s Bellevue Beat Blog, Major Crimes detectives said they interviewed the woman’s spouse on Friday and, based on evidence collected during the investigation and the interviews, placed him under arrest on one count of first-degree homicide. According to the department, the suspect was processed at the Bellevue Police Department before being booked into the King County Jail, where he is currently held on $5 million bail. Police added that the investigation remains active and that any new information will be shared through the Bellevue Beat Blog.
Medical Examiner Reclassified Case
Police first opened a suspicious-death investigation after officers found the woman unresponsive at the scene on Oct. 27, 2025. On Dec. 23, 2025, the department announced that, following a review by the King County Medical Examiner’s Office, investigators were treating the death as a homicide, as reported by FOX 13 Seattle. That determination set in motion a lengthy inquiry by Bellevue’s Major Crimes unit.
Scene And Timeline
Officers were called at about 7:23 p.m. on Oct. 27 to a home in the 13700 block of Northeast 10th Street, where they found a 27-year-old woman dead at the scene, according to KOMO News. KOMO's coverage also notes that detectives interviewed the woman’s husband and that, at the time local outlets reported on the case, police had not publicly identified the man.
Legal Next Steps
Bellevue’s blog lists the arrest as “Homicide - First Degree, One Count,” and Washington law provides the sentencing framework for that charge. RCW 9A.32.040 states that a person convicted of first-degree murder shall be sentenced to life imprisonment. The King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office will review the investigation and decide whether to file formal charges, and any filings will appear in court records if and when prosecutors submit them.
How To Help
Bellevue Police ask anyone with information to call the department’s non-emergency line at 425-577-5656 or to email [email protected]. The department said updates will be posted to its Bellevue Beat Blog. Investigators also asked that anyone with video or other evidence preserve it and contact detectives as the probe continues.
