What should have been a quiet early morning in Center City turned into a violent street robbery, and Philadelphia police say three women caught on camera are at the center of it.

According to investigators, three women attacked and robbed multiple people along the 1300 block of Chestnut Street at about 2:15 a.m. on April 18, 2026. Police say the victims were left with serious head and facial injuries and had to be hospitalized. The attackers allegedly stole the victims' bags, and several of the stolen credit cards were later used fraudulently, authorities said.

Surveillance Photos Released Monday

As reported by NBC10 Philadelphia, police on Monday released surveillance images of the three suspects and offered detailed descriptions.

All three are believed to be women between 25 and 30 years old. Police describe suspect No. 1 as about 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 7 inches tall and roughly 150 pounds. Suspect No. 2 is described as about 5 feet 2 inches to 5 feet 4 inches tall, about 130 pounds, with a tattoo on the right side of her chest. Suspect No. 3 is described as around 5 feet 5 inches tall, about 175 pounds, with a heavy build.

Anyone who recognizes the women or has information about the assault is asked to contact the Philadelphia Police Department's Central Detective Division at 215-686-3093 or 215-686-3094, or call the department tip line at 215-686-TIPS (8477), police said.

Another April Rash Of Center City Robberies

The hunt for this trio comes on the heels of a string of violent robberies in Center City earlier in April, which has already put people on edge downtown.

On April 9, two robberies happened within minutes of each other, prompting investigators to release images of a teenage suspect, according to FOX29. Those earlier incidents, including one at a 7-Eleven on Chestnut Street and another on Walnut Street, added to residents' concerns about street robberies in the area.

How To Help And Legal Status

Police have not announced any arrests in the April 18 case, and investigators say the images are part of an active effort to identify the three attackers.

Anyone with information, surveillance footage, or tips that could help the investigation is urged to contact Central Detectives or call the department tip line and reference the case. Media tips can also be submitted to local news outlets, according to NBC10 Philadelphia.
