Two men were injured in a drive-by shooting in north Houston on Tuesday night, police said, after gunfire broke out in front of a home in the 800 block of Fair Street. Witnesses told officers that before the shots rang out, one of the victims was pistol-whipped in front of the house.

According to Click2Houston, Houston Police Department Lt. Willkens said a black Ford Bronco pulled up to the residence and several suspects got out of the vehicle. Two men were hit in the attack: one suffered gunshot wounds to an arm and a leg, and the other was grazed in the neck. Police said both are expected to survive.

One of the wounded men later went to Houston Fire Department Station 67 at 1616 W. Little York Road, where firefighters transported him to a hospital, according to city records. City of Houston documents show Station 67 serves the Acres Home area and surrounding north Houston neighborhoods.
