The Undefeated Tribe, one of the fastest growing Crunch Fitness franchise groups, is beefing up its East Austin headquarters and payroll as it hustles to roll out more local clubs. The expansion aims to grow the support team that helps open and run the chain’s Crunch 3.0 gyms across the region.
According to the Austin Business Journal, The Undefeated Tribe is enlarging its East Austin office and hiring staff to back development and operations. The outlet reports the group currently runs eight Crunch locations around the Austin metro and has at least five more clubs in the works.
A press release distributed via PR Newswire identifies the new North Austin Crunch 3.0 club as the group’s eighth local gym and details amenities that range from group fitness studios to Relax & Recover services. The same release says the North Austin opening will bring on more than 100 staff for that location as part of a broader multistate expansion plan, positioning the move as a push to scale membership, amenities and centralized support functions.
Hiring and HQ details
Company job listings place the franchise’s support hub in East Austin at 1637 East 2nd Street and show openings for presale, operations and HQ support roles tied to new club launches. The VMG Partners job posting for a Presale Manager lists that address and spells out duties coordinating presale activity across multiple openings, per VMG Partners. What it means for Austin retail
Austin’s tight retail market has turned fitness operators into attractive backfill tenants for vacant big box and strip center space, keeping leasing activity moving instead of letting storefronts sit dark. Recent coverage has highlighted fitness concepts among recent lease takers, which helps explain why franchise groups are accelerating local openings. The Undefeated Tribe’s HQ expansion and club pipeline tap into that demand while creating new local jobs.
"We are so excited to bring the Crunch Fitness brand to North Austin and offer outstanding and affordable fitness," founder and CEO Tony Hartl said in a press release via PR Newswire. Expect more hiring notices and firmer opening dates as presales and construction move ahead across the metro.
