
A late Sunday hit-and-run on Broad Street on Columbus’s East Side left a man dead after a driver hit him as he tried to cross the road and kept going, police said. Several additional vehicles then struck the man before medics pronounced him dead at the scene while investigators worked the area.
According to WSYX/ABC6, the collision happened at 11:16 p.m. Sunday. A vehicle headed eastbound on Broad Street, just east of Reynoldsburg‑New Albany Road, hit the man as he attempted to cross. The car drove off after the initial impact, and the victim was then struck by other vehicles before being pronounced dead at the scene.

The Columbus Division of Police says its Accident Investigation Unit is handling the case and wants to hear from anyone who was in the area or has video of the incident.
